What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I love how personal this project is to me because it explores disability visibility through the relationship I have with my brother.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
I am excited to be shortlisted amongst such talented and unique professionals and new talent illustrators.
Where do you usually work?
I'm always working on my iPad out and about, sketching new character ideas and concepts.
How long did it take to complete your project?
The project took a few months to complete from start to finish.
What is your dream commission?
My dream would be to continue exploring diverse narratives through the making of my own children's books.
What are your plans for the future?
I begin my masters degree in Children's Literature: Children's Book Illustration at Goldsmiths University of London in September 2024.
