She. Women poets in Spain - Why did you create this work?
It is a commision from eme21 Magazine, I was commisioned to do a spread about a group of female poets in Spain in the fifties, they used to meet in a cocktail bar in Madrid where they read their poems, They where very talented, Gloria Fuertes was one of them, a group of men that was also there usually mocked them, talking very loud and screaming while they where reading. - How were your illustrations used?

Mar Ferrero was born in Madrid, Spain
She has a degree in fine arts by UCM
After graduating in 1993 she worked some years in animation, then she started working as an illustrator, she illustrated for many publishing houses in Spain: SM, Santillana, Edelvives, Oqo, NubeOcho, Random House. And abroad: High five, Usborne, Parramon, Bayard.
She also has four published books as author and illustrator. - Where are you currently based?
