Corinne Myller, Art Director
Corinne is a veteran New York Times Art Director who has led the print and digital design direction for
a range of key departments including Special Sections, Travel, Sunday Styles, Thursday Styles, Daily and Weekend Arts, and special news articles and series.
Corinne designs all editorial pages and digital packages for the domestic and international 100+ annual special sections produced by the paper, working with editors, photo editors, illustrators and interactive designers.
André Carrilho, Illustrator
André is an illustrator, designer, cartoonist, animator and caricature artist, born in Lisbon, Portugal. He has won national and international prizes and has shown his work in group and solo exhibitions in Brazil, China, Czech Republic, France, Portugal, Spain and USA.
His work has been published by The New York Times, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, New York Magazine, Standpoint, Independent on Sunday, NZZ am Sonntag, Word Magazine, Harper’s Magazine and Diário de Notícias, among other publications. In 2002 he was awarded the Gold Award for Illustrator’s Portfolio by the Society for News Design (USA), one of the most prestigious illustration awards in the world.
Dr Rachel Emily Taylor, podcast host
Rachel is the Course Leader of BA Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts. She has undertaken residencies at the Foundling Museum, the Bronte Parsonage Museum, Bowes Museum, and the Horniman Museum.
Her research explores how illustration practice might communicate the historical person’s ‘voice’ and examines the value of multiple voices in the museum.
Rachel’s book, Illustration and Heritage, explores the re-materialisation of absent, lost, and invisible stories through illustrative practice and examines the potential role of contemporary illustration in cultural heritage.
