I create scratchy, wang-eyed cartoons, animations and illustrations. I work for the football mag When Saturday Comes – – done lots for The Guardian, The Observer and various publishers. My weekly political cartoon strip What’s Going On? appears in The New European. Illustrated non-fiction travel/memoir books include The Groundwater Diaries, Is Shane MacGowan Still Alive, A London Country Diary and Small Town England. These are packed with my illustrations, sketches and hand drawn maps. The examples shown here are from the e-book version of my memoir of East Midlands early 80s teenage life, Small Town England (Ebury Press).
During the summer months, I have a parallel career as a football arm tattooist. When not illustrating or writing I am usually painting, hanging out with my kids or tramping the byways of North London looking for nice sticks.
