I am a freelance illustrator working from my studio in Sheffield. Families, everyday life and the great outdoors inspire me.
To create my illustrations, I enjoy using a dip pen and ink, watercolour and acrylic paint as well as some digital magic. My illustration style is bright, colourful and appeals to both children and adults. I love colour, texture and wobbly lines!
I have produced illustration and typography for allsorts: children’s books, book jackets, advertising, magazines, badges, weddings and websites. Clients have included the British Council, CAFOD, Granta, Great Ormand Street Hospital, HarperCollins, Pan Macmillan, Summersdale publishing and the Tree Charter. I am looking for further illustration commissions in children’s books, young fiction and editorial.
I hold an MA in Illustration and Animation from Kingston University. My work has been exhibited at the London Transport Museum, the Coningsby Gallery London, and the Menier Chocolate Factory London as part of the Gumbo illustration collective.
I really enjoy working collaboratively and creating a visual response to an idea, so please get in touch if you have a project you’d like illustrated – I’d love to hear from you!
