Iím a multi-disciplinary story artist.
I have three dominant visual styles:
1) Pencil & copic markers – My natural style is flat, with occasional added texture. I use this predominately for figurative work.
2) Watercolours – I prefer watercolours when illustrating for children, but will sometimes mix in copic markers.
3) Collage – I use collage and mixed media for my sequential work.
I have three illustration specialties:
1) Boylesque and genderqueer art
I strongly believe in a men’s right to show their feminine side, whether through fashion, pose or wearing elaborate jewelry. This is a lifelong passion project, though I sometimes collaborate with others who share my vision.
2) Sequential art
I’m a published author, and I illustrate many pages / stories/ sentiments through a mix of drawing, found materials and collage.
This body of work contains book covers, editorial work and general book illustrations.
3) YA & Children’s art
Perhaps a surprising addition, but as well as my gender identity art, I love to illustrate for YA and children. I prefer to express my playful side with watercolours and whimsical elements. I also write for children, and will illustrate my own projects. My own writing and art for children doesn’t shy away from darker themes at times- much like my favourite children’s book, ‘Death, Duck and the Tulip.’
