I am Norwich-based Illustrator with an interest in making light, whimsical illustrations from familiar characters and impactful social topics. Exploring sex lives, the class system, agriculture, death etc.
I am a practiced editorial illustrator that regularly illustrates for VICE and SoYoung magazine.
My current style involves soft textures, with very little line and a set vibrant colour palette. Taking inspiration from numerous sources including 60’s and 70’s publication and animated feature films like Howl’s Moving Castle and the Pixar collection.
I have had the pleasure of working on a wide range of commercial editorial subjects such as, food, sex education, science, mental health, finance and social media.
I also enjoy making short animated Gifs and printed products for my online shop at lilylk.com (opening soon)
Ephemeral is a printed illustration publication that I founded and currently run. I regularly comission a variety of fresh, talented creators, exploring big, intimidating but important topics like Genetic modification and food security. Using illustration to make these huge topics more accessable and digestible to the audience.
Would love to work on a packaging or book cover project one day.
