Hannah is a freelance illustrator based in Edinburgh, UK. She creates illustrations for products, editorial, publishing, advertising campaigns and one off commissions for clients all around the world.
Born and brought up in London, Hannah was raised, amongst others, on the wonderful John Burningham, Judith Kerr and Quentin Blake – not to mention the stories of her eccentric Austrian grandmother. Hannah’s love of words and pictures led her to study art and languages at Edinburgh University before relocating to the creative capital of Berlin in 2010. Upping sticks to Kreuzberg was the inspirational tonic that led her to pursue her lifelong passion for illustration as a career and since then she has illustrated for a range of clients from big charities such as ActionAid to small independent publishers such as Otter-Barry Books.
In 2017 Hannah returned to the UK and her Edinburgh studio is now filled with inks, paints and characters all coming to life. When she’s not hard at work drawing pictures or inventing stories, you’ll find her cycling through the city on a small golden bicycle called Dennis.
