My passion is illustrating narrative, in particular children’s’ picture books. I like to bring a sense of depth and richness to my work and I love to add in lots of textures, detail and hidden narratives in my picture book illustration. I hope that this detail gives the viewer the chance to revisit my work and spot things they didn’t see first time round. Well, that’s the idea anyway!
I‘ve worked on commissions for a number of professional and private clients including Intelex Toys, Jungldrum cards, The University of Northampton, The Wimbledon Guild, Flamingo Magazine, Passionate Productions and The Lost Picture Show.
I have an online shop where I sell prints, cards and custom portraits so please feel free to take a browse and do let me know if there’s anything special you’d like to commission.
I also work with the charity The Federation of Children’s Book Groups and help to run a local branch –Northamptonshire Children’s Book Group.
The Federation of Children’s Book Groups is a charity spanning 50 years whose mission is to bring children and books together. Our group came together due to a shared passion in children’s books and reading, and our aim is share that passion with children across Northamptonshire. We hold holding a range of stimulating activities and events from book festivals, to bookswops and author/illustrator talks with the aim of bringing books to life and encouraging reading for pleasure across all age groups, from pre-school to young adults.
