I’m Emma, an Illustrator living and working in London and have worked in the Men’s fashion industry since graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design in 2003.
I have always held a love and skill for drawing since I could pick up a pencil. Growing a strong desire to work in some form within fashion after first being drawn to the crazy blonde designer on Eurotrash and discovering a whole new world of creative genius, knowing that I wanted to some day be a part of that.
Through working in Men’s fashion over the years, I have developed specific expertise on the technical side of garment fit and manufacture. Having a great understanding of clothing fit and construction, which I like to use to an advantage in my illustrations.
I use a mix of soft pastels, watercolour, markers and pencils. Tend to draw strong figurative images with pops of bright colour to emphasis the garments and to set a distinctive image.
I like to work on evolving my technique and materials I use, which also reflects the ever evolving nature of the fashion industry.
Now following my true loves of drawing and menswear, I begin my journey of developing a career as an Illustrator and presenting my evolving personal portfolio and seeking commissions.
