Barry’s artwork is normally colourful, and often has a dreamlike, impressionist quality to it. He uses a blurring effect not just to create a sense of movement, but juxtaposed with areas of great detail and focus it leads your eye to the important areas of each composition.
His styles are diverse, from photorealistic work to looser, more expressive pastel illustrations – even though the latter are generated on a Mac using Painter. When creating fine art, he paints in oils using cloths, sponges and palette knives more than brushes.
