Having spent most of my life in rural West Cork, Ireland and urban Frankfurt, Germany, I am now based in Edinburgh where I work as both a freelance Illustrator and Illustration tutor at Edinburgh College of Art. My work is best known for its atmospheric and playful use of mixed media and large-scale cut-out silhouettes, featured as temporary or permanent site-specific installations, often involving stories from local communities. My further interests lie within childrens’ and adult illustration for print as well as animation.
In-between illustration, I enjoy long cycle tours around Edinburgh and in the Highlands. I love being outdoors and foraging for things to fill my freezer and jam jars or you might also find me walking around town, aimlessly and with a sketchbook, looking for artistic inspiration and story-material, such as people in action, something decorating a window, or just a small architectural detail.
I am currently seeking agency representation.
