I began illustrating professionally in 2006 and became a member of The Jacky Winter Group in Melbourne in 2007, since that time I have also given talks and workshops on all sorts of topics related to illustration and design, such as professional practice, drawing, marketing and character design. See Workshops for more information.
More recently I have begun exploring the Australian bush and local flora and fauna in my work whilst still maintaining the ukiyo-e influenced aesthetic in my work. Current projects include building a giant world of characters ‘Otoshimono Charactez’ and writing and illustrating a children’s book.
My personal work is a mix of digital and traditional illustration and sculpture, you’ll find prints and other objects sold here and my clothing line, Chiba ghosts, sold here!
You can often find me working alongside Chris Jacobs in Studio 5 located at Burrinja Cultural centre, Upwey with our young son and snappy corgi ‘Pickles McGerkin’.
Let’s be making happy pictures!
