Whether we’re springing back into action or dipping our toes in, how can we be there for one another as we emerge into the real world again?

A Studio Called Jane is the creative outfit of Manchester-based designer and illustrator, Jane Bowyer. Jane is where play meets purpose, meaning meets impact, craft meets graft and, you get the idea.Speaking of ideas, bringing them to life is Jane’s thing. With a vibrant blend of design and illustration, Jane creates visual solutions tailored to the values of local heroes and global leaders alike. And to do that, Jane gets involved. Involved with the messy bit before a brand is even born, and staying stuck in right to the finish line.

Getting involved means designing with integrity, compassion and a whole lot of heart. It’s what makes A Studio Called Jane different. Speaking of different, that’s how Jane runs things, because this one-woman studio isn’t always a one-woman show. Whether it’s bringing independent doers together to crack briefs, flying solo as an illustrator or coming aboard as lead designer in a team, A Studio Called Jane can do it all. And does it for projects big and small.

Small Fry

Small Fry Collective is based in Manchester, United Kingdom. Hosting a range of creative events, workshops, talks, bringing together creatives from across Manchester and beyond. Small Fry also plays host to the AOI Manchester meet-up for Illustrators, and runs Illustration and Animation workshops and courses through Elephant Academy. We’ve worked with clients such as; British Council, University of Manchester, Cardiff University, Winsor & Newton, Pankhurst Centre, Women in Print, and Manchester School of Art.

Small Fry Collective was founded in 2018 and is directed by Illustrator and Animator Maisy Summer, and assisted by Illustrator and Animator Sarah Wilson. With us working across Illustration, Design, Animation & Education, creative learning and community are always at the forefront of what we do. We aim to companion creativity and help artists join the dots been starting out to their early careers.
