Open Hearts, Open Borders: Illustrators Respond to Migration

June 13 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

To celebrate the publication of Migration, Amnesty UK and Otter-Barry Books present a discussion on the 13th of June with Tobias Hickey, Piet Grobler, Jane Ray, Mohammad Barrangi Fashtami, and Chris Riddell who will be drawing live.

Migration is a book of 50 images created by illustrators from 28 countries on the theme of human migration. All highlight the positive impact of the migration of peoples and show brilliantly how cultures and ideas flow despite borders, barriers and bans.

Illustrators include Shaun Tan, Neal Layton, Jackie Morris, Christopher Corr, Nicola Davies, Petr Horacek, Axel Scheffler, Jane Ray, Marie Louise Gay, Isol, and Roger Mello.

There will be a ‘Migration’ exhibition, which is an installation of over 200 images and messages from children’s illustrators from 12th – 26th of June. Come in early to enjoy the exhibition which will be on all day.

The event is free but must be registered here
