Neither Here, Nor There is a new group exhibition showing at Vauxhall’s social justice and human rights centre, The Foundry. Featuring works by a roster of international and British BME women artists, the exhibition aims to create a space for the artists to explore their dual heritage and feelings of displacement.
SAFFA KHAN ‘The Border’
The group exhibition brings together eighteen artists from diverse backgrounds to also explore issues around women’s rights and social justice alongside their explorations of dual heritage. Each artwork will act as an artist response and interpretation of the exhibition title, Neither Here, Nor There. The artists taking part are a mix of established and emerging artists, including students and recent graduates.
ERIN ANIKER – Home
We Are Here is an artist-led and artist-run platform, currently run by Erin Aniker and Jess Nash. The aim is to provide an open platform for discussion around what it means to be British, led by BME women and non-binary people of colour. The increase in anti-immigration rhetoric since the referendum to leave the EU last June makes the project particularly poignant.
