How were your illustrations used? :
College or university project, Exhibition or installation

How did you make this work:
The illustration is inspired by Carl Linnaeus’ Flower Clock, which conveys how plants undergo daily rhythms of wakefulness and sleep. DNA strands portray how this relates to the human body, while inside the clock are depictions of a person's life whose circadian rhythm is disrupted. The separate elements were drawn with charcoal pencil before being constructed and edited in Adobe Photoshop.

Biography:
Nick, an artist from Liverpool, has over a decade of experience in portraiture and a First Class degree in Illustration. In 2017, he won 2nd prize in a local open art exhibition and, in 2018, was part of an exhibition showcasing five of the best painters living and working in his borough. Since graduating, he has completed numerous editorial illustrations for local magazines and universities.
