How did you make this work: In Singapore, land is scarce and seen solely as an economic resource. Maps are often used to measure the extent of land, reducing it to a shape on paper. By depicting the rich narratives, history and inhabitants of the land, this illustration challenges the neoliberal cartographic representation of Kampong Buangkok: the last rural village that has resisted the modern development of Singapore.
