How did you make this work:
This self-initiated project aims to show an authentic insight into daily life in Malaysia, grounded in the artist’s own reportage drawings on location and experiences during her time there. Each illustration shows a market stall, involving quotes from conversations she had with these people to illustrate their stories, work and glimpses into daily life. Coloured pencil with screen printing.

Biography:
Alice Mawdsley is a third year Illustration student at Falmouth University. She has a personal interest in reportage illustration and working with the community. Her work explores different cultures and everyday life to create educational images inspired by her own experiences, conversations with others and the colourful drawings she makes on location.
