How did you make this work:
This work was created as a speculative editorial piece to add to my portfolio. I found the New York Times article insightful, looking into the link between addiction and re-incarceration and how challenging this can be for individuals in recovery. I used Procreate to create the final image and development thumbnails, and I also used my own scanned paper textures in the final piece.

Biography:
Serena Turtle is a British illustrator based between London and Dorset, UK. She is a recent graduate from Falmouth University with a BA(Hons) in Illustration and a MA in Game Art. Her work is diverse, covering editorial, concept art and comic illustration. She has a love for graphic novels, hiking and paddle boarding.
