Friendship

Children's Publishing

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
To illustrate that from a young age, we must strive to connect with each other to help the fight against racial separation in public schools through urban planning in America. The children are walking around, disconnected and unbothered by those walking beside them, except for two girls, who stoped and noticed they have the same shoes. Something that simple can spark love, respect, and friendship.

How was the illustration used:
This was a self-initiated piece to be used as part of a children's book or a mural to spread the message amongst children in the public school system.

How did you make this work:
This work was made using a combination of traditional media such as colored pencils and inks to make the original drawing, and then layering scanned textures and other digital media on Procreate.
