I have a total business background before I enter art school. During my work, I can feel a high competitive and material world. People keep chasing better status, titles, appearance and brands. My colleague had overdrawn consumption for 6 months at that time and was depressed. This situation was common, pandemic even enhanced virtual addiction, which brought me to rethink myself and this world.

How did you make this work: I used Procreate and Photoshop to finish this work. Considering the theme was not that positive and I want to keep things simple and succinct, I choose limited vibrant colours to make some contrast. I use blue lines to play a style and try to express the theme in a comic way. I spent more time on the expression and layout rather than brush techniques. Hopes to bring a strong visual effect.

The author worked in a bank for 2 years before entering art school. She got a Bachelor's degree in accounting and a Master's degree in accounting and finance. But drawing as an expression was a dream inside her body from childhood. She loves colours, visual arts and meeting with different people. It was a brave and crazy choice to turn to art school after those business years.Anything is possible.
