ARISOL
Walking with Birds at the Park

Exploration

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
I created six illustrations for a group exhibition 'A girl in a mysterious and wonderful garden' at the gallery IYN in Osaka, Japan. I used the opportunity to experiment with colours, compositions, and art materials based on the children's book illustrations that I have studied.

How was the illustration used:
The artwork was a part of the group exhibition in the gallery IYN. The exhibition was held from January 6th to 17th, 2022.

How did you make this work:
I used gouache, watercolour, colour pencil, and pencil on paper. At the beginning of the creative process, I painted the first layer with orange-yellow ink to give warmth to the overall illustration. Based on the mood of the illustration, I added colours and depth to the artwork with gouache and watercolour. I refined the shapes and details with colour pencils.
