Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
The piece was created to represent the special spirits of the variety of exotic and foreign food products that are sold in the food markets of the Central Station in Tel Aviv, Israel, on the 4th floor. The illustration is an homage to the soon to be demolished Old Central Station.

How was the illustration used:
The work was showcased in the illustration week exhibition "Motherstation" resembling a set of food stands.

How did you make this work:
The various materials such as plastic, wool and styrofoam are combined with the colourful and pleasant to the touch textiles, glued and hand stitched. The imaginary food items, reminiscent of cloth dolls, become temporary objects that create bridges through which you can always return to the tastes of home feeling the comfort and warmth that they bring within them.
