Birdman Creek

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
This story was inspired by the time I spent in the valley behind my grandmother’s house. The smell of vegetation, moss and soil in the valley constituted my childhood memories before the age of six. So I made up such a story in this way to commemorate my wonderful fantasy about the depths of the valley when I was young.

How was the illustration used:
In fact, this was a class assignment in my third year at university. I'm going to make it into a zine and sell it at some comic shops or art festivals.

How did you make this work:
Basically, I will start with pencil basics. Pencil is a tool I am very familiar with and I am used to using it to record inspirations that pop up for me, I then collate these ideas, glue them together and sketch them out in a relaxed way. I then use procreate and photoshop to complete the full painting that follows. Finally, I try to choose the most suitable method to print my work and make a zine
