New TalentWhy did you make this work:
I created this picture book illustration to visually represent my own experience of dyslexia, in the hope of providing both a mirror of validation for children facing similar struggles, and also a window through which others can better understand.
How was the illustration used: It is a developmental piece as part of a Picture Book project about my own experiences of Dyslexia.
How did you make this work: This is a combination of Letterpress hand-printed wooden letter forms, with cyanotype printmaking for the character.

Biography:
I am an illustrator originally from Yorkshire, now based in the Suffolk countryside. I am graduating from the MA Children's Book Illustration course at Cambridge School of Art in 2022, and this piece was created as part of my final term's work. I also work in textile design, teach illustration at City Lit, and run regular online writing and drawing sessions.
