Why did you make this work:
I made this work as part of my Junior Thesis Project at The School of Visual Arts. You have to illustrate a series (at least 10) pieces based on a given list's book, play, or musical. This year's theme was NYC stories. I selected "Annie" the musical because I loved the plot, period (1930's), and as an aspiring children's book illustrator, I wanted to practice illustrating children.

How was the illustration used:
This illustration is a part of my Junior Thesis Project at The School of Visual Arts.

How did you make this work:
I made this work using fountain pen (ink), watercolor, and some photoshop adjustments as well.

Biography:
I am an illustration student earning a BFA at The School of Visual Arts (2023). I have previously worked for The Society of Illustrators, and I've collaborated artistically with Link NYC, Puma, and the NYC Vote Campaign.
