This is a self published concertina book printed with a riso machine. I wanted to tell the story of an inner encouraging brass band that keeps you going.
How was the illustration used: This book was shown and sold at book fairs, resellers and in my online shop.
How did you make this work: The line work was hand drawn with markers, the colours layers were then drawn using Photoshop. The book was printed on a riso machine in 3 colours: hunter green, red and sunflower yellow. It was printed in 4 parts that were hand folded and glued. It is a limited edition of 60.

Biography:
Cé Simonis is a Belgian - Scottish author - illustrator who writes and draws picture books and graphic novels for all ages. Cé self publishes books and prints on a riso machine called MsMenzies. Cé studied illustration in Belgium and Italy, trained as a printmaker in Scotland, won a few prizes and awards, taught at Edinburgh College of Art and was artist in residence at Inspace and Planet Labs.
