Science & Technology

Commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
Alongside five other artists, I was invited to take part in the competition for the 2022 cover of the scientific journal The Lancet Infectious Diseases, a leading journal for publishing research on infectious diseases. The topic to be illustrated was schistosomiasis, a parasitic disease caused by worms that can infect the urinary tract and intestines.

How was the illustration used:
As it was a competition and although I was one of the three finalists, I did not become the winner, the illustration was not used by The Lancet.

How did you make this work:
Digitally, with Adobe Photoshop and a Wacom Cintiq.
