Why did you make this work:
To celebrate the imagination and artistic legacy of classic British science fiction novels; and to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the death of HG Wells, we were commissioned to design six stamps featuring new artistic interpretations of classic sci-fi stories by celebrated British authors.

How did you make this work:
Each illustrator and artist was given a quote from the book to inform their work, for example the line given to illustrator Matt Murphy for Childhood’s End was: “‘Now I understand,’ said the last man”.Mediums include watercolour, photographic manipulation, digital illustration, airbrush and photographic collage.
