This project explores the story of The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat by Oliver Sacks. Using the physical format of the book, and the motion of turning the pages to represent the extraordinary condition of Dr P.
A music teacher whose troubles with his vision and memory makes him mix his foot and shoe, look at faces as they were puzzles, and to approach everyday life through music.
How was the illustration used: All the illustrations were applied in a single edition handbound paperback book. The cover illustration returns on the inside of the publication on an interactive fold out page concept that reflects on the title giving moment of the story.
How did you make this work: The illustrations were created with traditional materials; gouache, ink and pencil.

Biography:
Kata Kocsispeter originally from Hungary, is an illustrator based between Budapest and Cambridge. She recently graduated from her Illustration degree at Cambridge School of Art and now starting out her career. During her studies she set foot in various fields of illustration from editorial, book jacket design to picture book art and she's aiming to keep exploring now in the professional setting.
