I created the illustration in the first lockdown in my country during the Covid-19 pandemic, expressing my feelings while being isolated at home, longing to reunite with the outdoors, and craving for being able to socialize again. The illustration depicts the tension of the intermediate space between the intimate indoor space and the public domain, wherein both I felt the loss of freedom.
How was the illustration used: A digital print artwork for sale, personal project.
How did you make this work: The illustration was created digitally and produced with archival inks as a limited edition of 60 Giclée prints. During the process, I began with framing the window gird which is creating the base of the composition. Then I drew the interior space of the house and blurred it, eliminating most of the details. I revealed a small part of the window's glass with a single brushstroke.

Biography:
Niv Tishbi, born 1986, works and lives in Tel Aviv, Israel. Graduated with distinction from Bezalel Arts and Design Academy, Jerusalem, 2012. Studied at Universität der Künste, Berlin, 2011. Works in different fields of visual art. Recipient of the Yossi Stern Prize, 2012. Recipient of the Israel Museum Ben-Yizhak honorable mention Award for an illustrated children's book, 2018. Presented his solo show "Snooze" at Warehouse 2, Jaffa, 2017. Featured in the duo exhibition “Mifal Ha’im” Rothchild 69, Tel Aviv, as part of a grant for excelling students from the Department of Visual Communications, Bezalel, 2014. Participated in group exhibitions at the Design Museum Holon, Haifa Museum of Art, The Eretz Israel Museum, Artists House Tel aviv, Architect's House Gallery, Hanina Gallery and Benjamin Gallery, amongst others. Participated in “Internationales Künstler-Symposium", Neustadt, Germany, 2014.
