Why did you make this work:
In 2019 I wrote and illustrated a book called The Rhythm of the Rain. That was the first of a proposed four books about the processes that form and shape the Earth and how people are connected in unseen ways by these processes. Wild is the Wind is the second of these four books. Earth and Fire will follow over the next two years.

How was the illustration used:
It was used in my book 'Wild is the Wind.'

How did you make this work:
I made a storyboard using pencils and Photoshop. These were then scanned into the page layouts and I used Photoshop and custom brushes and scanned in painted textures to finish the art.

Biography:
Grahame has worked in illustration for twenty years and won the 2011 Kate Greenaway Medal for his inspiring tale of fatherhood, FArTHER. He is also the author-illustrator of The Rhythm of the Rain, winner of the 2019 English Association award. He lives in Bath, England, with his wife and three children.
