Why did you make this work:
I made the work to follow a personal brief with the objective of working from imagery from a given text. As a Christian I’ve always found the Bible a really fascinating source of inspiration, especially the darker more gothic stories from the Old Testament. I wanted to visually convey the atmosphere of the original story.

How was the illustration used:
The images in this submission are intended as a cover, and then three, full page inside illustrations.

How did you make this work:
The work was made entirely using Procreate. I like the challenge of trying to recreate traditional textures and mediums in a digital format.

Biography:
Predominantly working with experiences and memories, I’m really influenced by nostalgia and moments from my childhood that still feel significant to me, and endeavour to recreate the feeling they gave me.
