Why did you make this work:
The globe-sweeping reality of COVID-19 has often delivered an “infodemic” of misinformation as contagious as the coronavirus that causes it. The Bloomberg School of Public Health has spent the last year focused on its prevention. The alumni magazine requested an infographic that would teach the viewer about the virus' structure, lifecycle and current strategic therapies.

How was the illustration used:
The artwork in this infographic was designed as a poster to be adapted into a 2-page magazine spread, a vertical scrolling web page format and an animated video presentation.

How did you make this work:
I worked with a world-renowned virologist who studies how the virus behaves once taken into the cells of our respiratory system. Through research and collaboration, I used x-ray crystallography protein data and molecular visualization software to construct my own model of the virus structural make-up. The final infographic was illustrated in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
