Why did you make this work:
“The Infinity garden” is my first experience with poetry. When I read it, I feel music and rhythms which I tried to express graphically. I decide to use calligraphy to express pulsates of poetry. Illustrations aren’t literally but tell their own story. Graphics meets text and elaborates the meaning. Harmony connection of word and picture - is what the project about.

How was the illustration used:
"The Infinite Garden" was printed in a limited edition of 500 copies. Hardcover, 112 pages, 150x170mm.

How did you make this work:
This illustrations were created via pastel, charcoal and ink. Finished digitally.

Biography:
Darya Martynova is Russian illustrator lives in St.Petersburg. She graduated from the Moscow State University of Printing Arts in 2014. As of today, 12 books with her illustrations have been published.
