This piece is inspired by The Atlantic's article "The Virus Is Showing Black People What They Knew All Along." The shape of the COVID-19 racial disparity map resembles a scar, reminding us of the brutality of racism in the United States during the pandemic.

Jin is a passionate illustrator with experience in web design. She recently got her MFA degree in Illustration Practice from Maryland Institute College of Art. With a touch of poetics and humanity, Jin’s illustrations explore various themes including sociopolitical issues and technology.
