New TalentWhy did you make this work:
This is a close collaboration with the Foundation Save the Med, which works relentlessly to abolish single-use plastics, educate the population, and protect more marine areas in my homeland, Mallorca. It will be printed as a giant banner to do oral storytelling, in the manner of medieval troubadours.
How was the illustration used: Mainly it will be use to give workshops at schools. Furthermore, it will reproduced as merch and used for online promotion.
How did you make this work: My connection to the subject matter and narratives is very personal. The first step was to meet with the foundation members, talk about their work and hear all their stories. Step two was to craft intricate mindmaps with all the information and scenes that had to be drawn. The final step was to draw the image using Procreate, in a very intense process with a lot of feedback and revisions.
