Why did you make this work:
Maat is an illustration I created to participate in the contest “Free Patrick Zaki, prisoner of conscience”, a special edition of "Poster for tomorrow".One of the reasons why Patrick Zaki was arrested was for defending women's rights. MAAT presents as a representation of the women and also as a divine entity responsible for restoring justice and liberating Patrick Zaki.

How was the illustration used:
This illustration was used in web and printed formtats in the International campaign for the release of Patrick Zaki, organised by Amnesty International Italia, Conversazioni sul futuro, Diffondiamo idee di valore in collaboration with Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, Articolo 21 Association, Human Rights Festival and with the support of public administrations and other partners.

I made this illustration using adobe illustrator.

Biography:
Rita Reis is based in Aveiro and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts-Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto. Continually developing her illustration, sculpture and design work, Rita often participates in individual and collective exhibitions. Her portfolio is full of life and communicates her love for the world of emotions and fantasy.
