Why did you make this work:
Google had a acquired a new office building spanning two floors to expand their office space, for their expanding number of employees, and for those who choose to work at the office. They hired an architectural firm (WRNS Studio) to design the space, and it was within the theme of a comic book aesthetic that they designed the space, and they also required that it feature elements of San Francisco.

How was the illustration used:

How did you make this work:
I created the murals by first sketching out various ideas, and the client chose to go in the direction of cute animals that had taken over San Francisco. I finalized the images with color using the iPad, and the actual painting was done with acrylic paint using a grid method to enlarge the image.

Biography:
Jacqueline Sarah Brown is an artist and illustrator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She's worked with a variety of clients such as: Google, 826 Valencia, Phil.us, Brilliant.org, Community Health Councils, Tax-Aid, Kirk-Bear Library, and Just Transition Alliance. Prior to illustration, she had a career as a flash developer and an interactive artist, and made her mid-career transition after she moved to California from New York.
