Rosie Haine
It isn't Rude to be Nude

Children's Publishing

Commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
I've always loved drawing naked people, and thought it would be interesting to a do a book about nudity, as children (and adults) don't get to see normal bodies in their every day lives, and because I thought it would be a nice way to use humour to introduce what can be a difficult subject matter.

How was the illustration used:
In my book, It isn't Rude to be Nude, which is written by me and published by Tate Publishing.

How did you make this work:
The drawings are all done by hand in Diamine fountain pen and Quink ink, with coloured pencil used over the top while the ink is still wet. Images then photoshopped into page compositions with some minimal editing.
