Kelly Lasserre
Stuck At Home Paintings

Exploration

Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
I started to paint the quiet moments that I was surrounded by each day during quarantine, things I used to see everyday before the pandemic. I started to notice and appreciate these spaces once everything else was locked down and the only safe place was inside my apartment or looking out a window. I wanted to record this moment of time in a very specific way, of the stillness it had created.

How was the illustration used:
Personal work

How did you make this work:
These are all paintings on paper, using acryla-gouache and sometimes colored pencil.
