Rafaela Pascotto
The Infinity Building

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
"The Infinity Building" is an infinite graphic novel about an infinite building and it was the outcome of my Final Major Project at the university. The brief was to create a self-initiated illustrated piece about any topic, so I had the freedom to choose what I wanted to research. I chose to work with the concepts of a vicious circle and a maze.

How was the illustration used:
A graphic novel for my final degree show.

How did you make this work:
The story is about an infinite building and how people deal with living only inside and the desire to always go higher. I decided to bind my graphic novel with a spiral, and not have any cover so that the story could be read from any point, and from there it could go on forever because there wouldn't be a beginning or an end and the narrative wouldn't be linear.
