Emotional Eating

Editorial

Commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
I was commissioned to make an editorial illustration about the consumption of negative emotions (fear, stress and anxiety) through eating and the effect that stress has on our eating habits for What Do People Do magazine. The client gave me all the freedom regarding the imagery and in order to maintain a lighthearted approach towards a sensitive topic I was asked not to use dark colours.

How was the illustration used:
The artwork was published in the second issue of What Do People Do magazine as a full page illustration. It accompanied Toma Dvelyte’s story titled ‘If You Aren’t Changing It, You Are Choosing It’.

How did you make this work:
The illustration was made using acrylic paint on paper. After the painting process was done the illustration was scanned and colour-corrected in Photoshop.
