Charlotte Bayliss
Habitat

Editorial

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
These pieces are part of my final university project which explored further into editorial and focused on an area of interest to me. My interest in animals led to the theme 'Habitat' which explored the ways in which humanity affects a variety of animals.

How was the illustration used:
A collection of speculative illustrations to aid articles such as The Guardian.

How did you make this work:
I have a fondness towards animals and care towards the way they are treated which is why I chose to focus on a darker topic to help bring the issues to light whilst trying to bring a playful element into the imagery to make it more appealing to the viewers. The work was produced digitally in Procreate on the iPad and the topic was researched through a range of articles and documenteries.
