Why did you make this work:
I was commissioned by yello brick to collaborate on creating artwork for the The Grange Hospital Children’s Assessment Waiting room & Treatment Bays.It's part of the overall Hospital Arts Strategy and Programme which aims to enhance the emotional well-being of patients, visitors and staff. The Programme focuses on and responds to three key themes: nature, community and science and education.

How was the illustration used:
The illustration is used as a mural for the Children’s Assessment Waiting room & Treatment Bays. Alongside the murals an interactive comic was created that reveals stories based on characters in the murals accessed via your phone.

How did you make this work:
The brief was to create illustrated world full of characters for children to be immersed in. Yello brick developed specific characters and their stories to be included in the illustration. The rest of the illustration allowed for a lot of creative freedom.Some of the drawn elements then fed back into the stories for the comic making the process very collaborative.
