Jingo Li
UN GIORNO

Exploration

Un-commissioned | Professional

Why did you make this work:
“Un Giorno” means “one day” in Italian, I created this series by observing my Italian boyfriend's one day off: doing nothing but chill. This series is divided by three time slots: morning (07:00 am), noon (13:30 pm) and dusk (18:00 pm).

How was the illustration used:
These illustrations have been to some art fairs in China in the form of prints, and they are currently part of a group exhibition in Shanghai M50’s “Small Art Museum”.

How did you make this work:
I started with making drafts and doodles on papers, once I was happy with the content and the rough layout, I started to move to digital in Photoshop. I refined the lines and tried many versions of colouring, finally I have the outcome I like after several versions.
