Why did you make this work:
It is a story about a girl playing toys by herself bringing her imagination worlds. By playing different toys such as wood blocks, little trains, crayon, paper dolls, and puzzles, she enters various fantasy worlds. These toys bring her creativity and imagination.

How was the illustration used:
I want to make a book and paln to publish it.

How did you make this work:
digital medium. Based on my story, I choose seven toys as subjects. First spread is the girl playing wood blocks, and the spread after is the imagination world built by the wood blocks. And next is little train, puzzles, paperdolls etc. There is total seven different toys.

Biography:
Jocelyn Kao is an illustrator from Taiwan and currently based in Montréal, Canada. She graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and worked as a concept artist in animation and game for seven years. A trip to Europe inspired her to become a freelance illustrator. Her work is featured in children’s books, picture books, magazines, advertising, packaging and branding.
