Children's Publishing

Un-commissioned | New Talent

Why did you make this work:
This work is an assignment I created in the first term of the second year in BA illustration. The series of works describes the introduction of bees, which belongs to children's non-fiction. It is to help children find their ways to understand the bee's world and explore nature.

How was the illustration used:
they can be used for children's non-fiction and shown in magazines. Besides, they can also be used to spread information about bees in newspapers.

How did you make this work:
I created my works by using brushes of crayons, pencils, watercolors, oil paintings, oil pastels, and hook line pens on the Ipad. Before I started, I did lots of researches on bees and compare different series of them. At the same time, I referenced illustrator Natasha Durley's thinkings on insects. In the process of drawing them, I strongly focus on the colors and patterns of lines and dots.
