Why did you make this work:
This is my first time to travel alone to Japan. I went to a contemporary art festival name "Setouchi Triennale" on several islands in the Seto Inland Sea of Japan and the coastal cities of Takamatsu and Tamano. When I looked at the sea and sky there I feel thankful I am able to walk, see and explore this beautiful world. Therefore I hope to share my happiness with people through my illustrations.

How was the illustration used:
I spent 8 days in Japan that taught me how to deal with myself, and enjoy the present. I didn't talk much with others during the trip, but I got a lot of inspiration from the people I met and those beautiful islands. I believed that art has the power to educate and motivate us to become better people, also to heal ourselves. So I would like to spread the love and message that I have learned.

How did you make this work:
The digital world feels like an exit for us to escape from reality, and I love digital drawing because it won't make me stress, I dare to create since it's super easy to restart with the delete button. My life is not perfect but my line in Adobe Illustrator does. I create my illustrations with this software as always.

Biography:
Dani is a website designer and illustrator based in Hong Kong. She likes to picture interface in her mind, and to draw with her heart, featuring some little moments in daily lives, or the feelings which films and music have given her. Staying all day at the studio, she feels her existence in serenity.
